FAM Funds held its 25th Annual Shareholder Informational Meetings. FAM Funds invited and encouraged all shareholders to attend the meetings - it also opened the events to the public. This year’s theme was, “Long-Term Investing: A Bright Idea.” “We want to educate people about long-term, value investing and explain how our independent, time-tested approach is an alternative to Wall Street’s style,” said Chairman Tom Putnam. In keeping with its contrarian investment approach, there was limited presentation. Instead, the Funds’ managers - Tom Putnam, John Fox, Paul Hogan - as well as the rest of the Research Team, spent the bulk of each meeting in audience Q&A. Anne Putnam, Fenimore’s Vice President of Institutional Development, moderated the meetings. There were also special presentations to local fire departments and four companies, that are investment holdings in FAM Funds, had displays. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
